Welcome to the Assessment for Learning Second Annual Math Mini Conference: GOALS: 1. Convene educators (including administrators) to engage in critical conversations around mathematics for social justice 2. Empower educators to meet the needs of all students, especially ELs by providing resources and tools from the Math Toolkit and the CA Math Framework 3. Re-invigorate the community through collaboration and by acknowledging shared experiences. OUTCOMES: 1. I can identify opportunities, supports and/or resources - including the ESA Math Toolkit 2. I can articulate how at least one strategy or tool in the ESA Math Toolkit fosters mathematics for social justice aligned with the new CA Mathematics Framework. 3. I can make a plan to act on something I learned today by sharing it with a colleague and/or my students. 4. I can build and sustain energy upon returning to my school community by collaborating with colleagues.
